We Believe
Our Faith and Doctrine
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
John 17:17
We are a Bible-believing, non-denominational church committed to the whole counsel of God. Our faith and practice rest entirely on the preserved Word of God, the King James Bible. Our mission is to glorify God, preach Christ, and make disciples.
The Bible
The Bible Is Our Final Authority
We believe the Scriptures, preserved in the King James Bible, are the inspired and inerrant Word of God—our foundation for all faith and life. The Bible is not just a book; it is the very Word of God, and the Word was made flesh.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
God the Father
The Father Is God Almighty and Eternal
God the Father is the first Person of the Godhead, uncreated, eternal, and sovereign over all. He is the source of all things—perfect in power, wisdom, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth. He reigns over heaven and earth with absolute authority and love.
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Psalm 90:2
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:6
The Father Sent the Son to Save Sinners
The Father, in His great love and mercy, sent His only begotten Son into the world to redeem those who were lost. He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world, and He made the way of salvation through His Son.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love. Ephesians 1:3–4
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
The Father Adopts All Who Believe
Through faith in Jesus Christ, we are brought into the family of God. The Father adopts us as His children—not by works, but by His grace. We are no longer strangers, but sons and daughters who can cry, “Abba, Father.”
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Galatians 4:5–6
The Father Works All Things According to His Will
God the Father rules over time, history, and salvation. Nothing happens apart from His sovereign purpose. He works all things together for His glory and the good of His people.
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will. Ephesians 1:11
The Father Is Glorified in the Son
The Father is glorified through the obedience and exaltation of His Son, Jesus Christ. To honor the Son is to honor the Father. To believe on the Son is to come to the Father.
That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. John 5:23
Jesus Christ Is LORD
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, begotten of the Father, and the Son of Man born of a virgin. He is the Word made flesh, who lived without sin, died as the Lamb of God, rose again the third day, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. He is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, who willingly offered Himself as the once-for-all sacrifice for sin. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life—the only way to the Father. He is King of kings, Lord of lords, and His name is above every name.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. Romans 1:4
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. Colossians 1:15–18
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9–11
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. Revelation 17:14
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelation 19:16
The Holy Ghost
We believe the Holy Ghost is the third Person of the Godhead—eternal, holy, and divine. He is not an impersonal force, but the living Spirit of God, sent from the Father and the Son. He was present at creation, active in the prophets, and poured out on the church. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates the heart, indwells every believer, teaches truth, comforts, empowers, and seals the redeemed unto the day of redemption.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:2
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Psalm 51:11
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Joel 2:28
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. John 16:7–8
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Romans 8:9
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:13–14
Salvation
Salvation Is by Grace Through Faith
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God, given by His grace and received through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not of works, merit, or human effort. All men are sinners, unable to save themselves, and in need of the righteousness of Christ, which is imputed to those who believe. Salvation was purposed by the Father, accomplished by the Son through His death and resurrection, and applied by the Holy Ghost. It is wholly of God, from beginning to end, so that no flesh may glory in His presence.
And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness. Genesis 15:6
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Acts 13:38–39
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. Romans 3:23–25
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:8–9
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9–10
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8–9
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:5–7
Christ Will Come Again
The Visible, Glorious Return of the King
We believe in the personal, visible, bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ at the end of this age. He will come again in power and great glory to judge the living and the dead, to gather His people, to cast down all wickedness, and to usher in the new heaven and new earth. This Second Coming will not be secret or symbolic, but unmistakable and final. The dead shall be raised, the righteous welcomed into eternal glory, and the ungodly cast into everlasting fire. We wait for this blessed hope with reverence, readiness, and joy.
Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. Psalm 50:3
I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. Job 19:25
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:30–31
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Matthew 24:42
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats. Matthew 25:31–32
Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Acts 1:11
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Acts 17:31
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:1–2
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power. 2 Thessalonians 1:7–9
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:28
Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. James 5:8
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10
And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 1 John 2:28
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Revelation 22:12
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:20
Heaven
Eternal Life in the Presence of God
We believe heaven is the eternal home of all who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. It is not earned by merit, but given by grace. Heaven is a place of righteousness, joy, rest, worship, holiness, and glory. It is the fulfillment of God’s promise to His people, the reward of faith, and the place where sin and death are no more. The wrath of God, once due to us, was fully satisfied at the cross; and so the redeemed enter not by worthiness, but by the righteousness of Christ alone.
As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. Psalm 17:15
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:2–3
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 1 Thessalonians 5:9–10
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:4–5
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4
Hell
Eternal Wrath Under the Justice of God
We believe hell is a literal place of everlasting punishment for all who die in their sins without Christ. It is not temporary or symbolic. It is the place where God’s righteous wrath is fully poured out on those who refused His grace. Hell is not unjust—it is the holy judgment of a righteous God against sin. It reflects God’s justice, not cruelty. It is the wages of sin without a substitute.
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Psalm 9:17
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:2
Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? Isaiah 33:14
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Mark 9:45–46
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. Romans 1:18
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished. 2 Peter 2:9
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Revelation 14:11
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15
Baptism
Baptism Is for Believers and by Immersion
We believe baptism is only for those who have been born again by faith in Jesus Christ. It is not for infants, unbelievers, or for salvation. Baptism does not wash away sin—it is the public testimony of a cleansed heart. According to the Scriptures, baptism is always administered after belief, and always by immersion, as a picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Sprinkling and pouring are manmade traditions; immersion is the biblical command.
Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him. Matthew 3:13–16
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. Acts 2:41
And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. Acts 8:37–39
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. Colossians 2:12
Life Is Sacred
We believe life begins at conception and every life is sacred—formed by God, known by God, and made in His image.
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Jeremiah 1:5
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13
The Family Is God’s Design
We believe marriage is the lifelong union of one man and one woman, and the family is God’s appointed place for nurture, discipleship, and love.
Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalm 127:3
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Ephesians 5:31
The Church
One People in Christ
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all who are redeemed by grace through faith in Him. God has always had one people, called out and made righteous by His promise. The Church is not a separate plan from Israel, but the continuation and fulfillment of God’s covenant through Jesus Christ. Whether Jew or Gentile, all believers are gathered into one household, one body, and one everlasting kingdom through the blood of the Lamb. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism—one people of God.
We believe that God has one covenant people, redeemed by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, drawn from both Jews and Gentiles, who together form the Church — the body of Christ. There is no salvation outside of faith in Jesus Christ, and no separate covenant of salvation for ethnic Israel apart from Him. We reject both Replacement Theology and the notion of two peoples of God; the Church is not a replacement for Israel but the fulfillment of God’s eternal plan, in which the promises made to Abraham are realized in Christ and shared by all who are in Him.
We respect and love the Jewish people as those upon whom God first showed forth His grace and love in covenant, to whom were committed the oracles of God, the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came. As Paul said, “What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God” Romans 3:1–2. Whom God hath not cast away, but has provided the same opportunity to be saved, to enter into the Kingdom of God, as has been given to the whole of all people; by faith in Jesus Christ. We rejoice that in Christ, believing Jews and Gentiles together are made one in the people of God.
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Genesis 12:3
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. Isaiah 56:7
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. John 10:16
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. Acts 15:14
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Romans 2:28–29
What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. Romans 3:1–2
Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. Romans 9:4–8
God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. Romans 11:2–5
And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. Romans 11:17–23
And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob. The “All Israel” of Romans 11:26 has been fully and clearly defined as the “All Israel” of Romans 9:6–8 — the children of the promise, Jew and Gentile alike, in Christ. Romans 11:26
Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. Galatians 3:7
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:28–29
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. Galatians 6:15–16
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby. Ephesians 2:14–16
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:4–6
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. Colossians 1:18
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 1 Peter 2:9–10
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Revelation 5:9–10
Conditional Security
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God’s grace, received by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that those who believe are called to continue steadfast in that faith unto the end. The Scriptures give repeated warnings that the promises of God are to the faithful only, and are forfeited by turning back in unbelief, persisting in sin, or failing to abide in Christ. Eternal life is promised to those who overcome, endure, and remain in Christ; eternal destruction awaits those who draw back.
And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. Exodus 32:33
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Psalm 51:11
But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. Ezekiel 18:24
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:21–23
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:6
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister. Colossians 1:23
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. Hebrews 3:6
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end. Hebrews 3:14
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Hebrews 6:4–6
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. Hebrews 10:26
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. Hebrews 12:15–17
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. 2 Peter 1:10
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment. 2 Peter 2:4
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2 Peter 2:20–21
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. Romans 11:22
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Romans 8:13

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. 1 John 2:24
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:5
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:19
Eternal Security
Kept of the LORD
We believe that those who are in Christ by a living faith are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation. God is faithful to finish the work He began in His people, guarding and preserving them against that day. This security is not grounded in the believer’s strength, but in the Lord’s ability to keep those who continue to trust in Him. Our perseverance is the fruit of His keeping, and His keeping is received through steadfast faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. Deuteronomy 33:27
For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. Psalm 37:28
The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Psalm 121:7–8
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. Proverbs 2:8
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. Jeremiah 32:40
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. John 6:37
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. John 6:38–39
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. John 10:27–29
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Romans 8:29–30
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:31–39
Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:8–9
Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. 2 Corinthians 1:21–22
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Colossians 3:4
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:24
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. 2 Thessalonians 3:3

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. 2 Timothy 4:18
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25
Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:5
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. Jude 24
Substitution and Imputation
The Exchange at the Cross
We believe that Jesus Christ, the spotless Lamb of God, stood in the place of sinners and fully bore the wrath of God on their behalf. This is substitution—He died as our sacrifice. But substitution alone is not the whole gospel. Christ’s perfect righteousness is also imputed—legally credited—to the believer. This is imputation. Our sin was laid upon Him; His righteousness is laid upon us. This double exchange is the foundation of our justification before a holy God.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:4–6
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:8–9
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Romans 5:19
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith. Philippians 3:9
Sin
The Universal Condition, The Righteous Judgment
We believe sin is the transgression of God’s law. It is not merely wrongdoing but rebellion against the holy character of God. All mankind inherited a sinful nature from Adam, and all have personally sinned. Sin brings guilt, corruption, separation from God, and eternal condemnation unless forgiven through the blood of Jesus Christ. God’s wrath is righteous, and His judgment is just. Apart from salvation, man remains under that wrath.
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Genesis 2:16–17
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Psalm 14:1–3
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Psalm 51:5
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Romans 5:12
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Romans 8:7
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Ephesians 2:1–3
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. James 1:14–15
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 1 John 3:4
Repentance
A Turning of Heart From Sin Toward God
We believe repentance is a gift of God and a command to all. It is not mere regret, sorrow, or reform. Repentance is a Spirit-wrought turning from sin to God, involving conviction, confession, and a change of heart. It is not a work that earns salvation, but a fruit of saving grace, inseparable from faith in Jesus Christ. Without repentance, there is no salvation.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:6–7
Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. Joel 2:12–13
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance. Matthew 3:8
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Luke 5:32
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luke 24:46–47
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent. Acts 17:30
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 20:21
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance. Romans 2:4
Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 2 Corinthians 7:9
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 2 Corinthians 7:10
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth. 2 Timothy 2:25
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
Prayer
Fellowship with a Sovereign God
We believe prayer is a holy privilege given to God’s people through Jesus Christ. It is how we worship, seek God’s will, confess sin, intercede for others, and lay hold of God’s promises. Though God is sovereign and unchanging, He has ordained prayer as a real means of communion, transformation, and answered provision. We pray in faith, in the name of Jesus, by the help of the Holy Ghost. Prayer is not a ritual, but the life of a believer who walks with God.
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:3
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near. Isaiah 55:6
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matthew 6:9–13
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21:22
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. John 14:13–14
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer. Romans 12:12
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6–7
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2
Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
